VCOM Receives International Awards for Annual Report

The Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM) received two awards for its 2020 Annual Report: The Future of Primary Care in the Southeast, in the Annual Report Competition (ARC) International Awards program. For seven consecutive years, VCOM has received recognition in the ARC Awards program that celebrates world-class achievement in annual reports.

Edward Michael Feldman Endowed Medical Scholarship

 

Edward Michael Feldman, DO, was a trailblazing military physician who was awarded a Silver Star and two Bronze Stars, and he was nominated for the Congressional Medal of Honor for his service in Vietnam, making him the first and only DO to be nominated for the highest award given for valor in action.  Established in his memory by family and friends, the Edward Michael Feldman Endowed Medical Scholarship awards a third or fourth year VCOM-Carolinas student who is a veteran or is the spouse or child of a veteran.

Bluefield College and VCOM Sign Agreement

The Bluefield College Board of Trustees voted this month to further align Bluefield College with the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM) family of schools by joining its education consortium. Representatives of the two higher education institutions jointly announced the agreement in a March 19 announcement in the Chandler Boardroom at Bluefield College.
