Academic Assistance & Mental Health Helping you succeed
Medical students at VCOM learn to provide patient-centered care as future physicians from experiences extending far beyond the classroom. Find support through mental health counseling, peer tutoring, faculty advisors, and academic assistance.
Campus Life Four campuses, one mission
Each of our VCOM campuses offer state-of-the-art facilities for lectures, studying, and hands-on learning, but we also make time for recreation, interest groups, social events and community service to encourage growth as a community of leaders in our field.
Diversity at VCOM
The Mission of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee is to support Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM) in its mission to prepare globally-minded, community-focused physicians to meet the needs of rural and medically underserved populations. Our goal is to provide the VCOM Community with the tools needed to affect positive and lasting change in their daily lives and their medical practices. The Diversity and Inclusion Committee consists of administrators, staff members, students and physicians focused on promoting a learning environment that educates not only on the sciences but on equality, equity, diversity and inclusion.
Student Services & Health Commitment to VCOM's values
The Office of Student Services provides a nurturing and supportive environment to prepare students for the demands of a career in Osteopathic medicine, while furthering the College mission to improve the health of those most in need. Our services include student health insurance, event and meeting support, and more.
Office of the Registrar
The Office of the Registrar is the steward of official student academic records and is responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and security of those records under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Many services are available to prospective and current students, graduates, faculty, staff, and administration.
Student Organizations Get involved

The service performed by members of student organizations benefit not only the community and the region, but also the members, as they gain valuable knowledge, skills and experience.
White Coat Ceremony A commitment to serve
The White Coat Ceremony is a rite of passage for first-year osteopathic medical students and signifies a commitment to the osteopathic profession and patient care. Immediate family members can coat a student if they are a Doctor of Osteopathic medicine and join them to help celebrate.
