Medical students at VCOM learn to provide patient-centered care as future physicians from experiences extending far beyond the classroom. Find support through mental health counseling, peer tutoring, faculty advisors, and academic assistance.

White Coat Ceremony A commitment to serve

The White Coat Ceremony is a rite of passage for first-year osteopathic medical students and signifies a commitment to the osteopathic profession and patient care. Friends and family can coat a student if they are a Doctor of Osteopathic medicine and join them to help celebrate.
