I have been part of the VCOM-Louisiana family since the beginning and am excited to step into this role. It will be an honor to lead our faculty, staff and students as we continue to grow our partnership with ULM and establish a strong foundation for our College’s mission and vision here in Louisiana and across the Delta Region.

“Dr. Sanders has previously held leadership roles at both VCOM-Auburn and VCOM-Louisiana, so it was a natural progression to transition him into the role of Dean for the Louisiana campus,” said Dixie Tooke-Rawlins, DO, FACOFP, President and Provost of VCOM. “His dedication to the students and commitment to our mission will ensure the continued success of our newest campus.”

Sanders received a BA in biology/chemistry from Texas Christian University, a DO from The University of North Texas Health Sciences Center - Fort Worth, a JD from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law, an MPH from The University of North Texas Health Sciences Center - Fort Worth, an MS in Clinical Molecular Genetics from Northern Michigan University and an LLM in Elder Law from Stetson University Law.
