The Ron Kindrick and Dean Willcox Global Outreach Scholarship Fund is named in memory of Ron Kindrick, late husband of Jan M. Willcox, DO, Virginia Campus Dean. Ron was always present and supportive at key VCOM events. He was a founding member of the “VCOM Family” where his wife Jan was the founding Dean of Clinical Affairs. He enjoyed traveling extensively and, with Jan by his side, participated in numerous medical mission trips to assist families who were less fortunate. On these trips, Ron was a helpful volunteer and was willing to assist with whatever tasks were presented to him. The scholarship fund will be awarded to VCOM – Virginia students participating in the Global Health Outreach International rotation site.
