The Jake Benner Medical Emergency Fund, established by Jake’s class (Class of 2013), is available to students who face medical hardship. His strength, determination, and positive attitude throughout a battle with cancer as a fourth year student was an inspiration to his class, school, and community. This fund, in his honor, is a means of paying tribute to a truly remarkable person who left this life too soon after losing his battle with cancer on June 17, 2013. Through the benefit of this fund, Dr. Jake Benner will continue to be remembered. Besides the class, many of Jake’s family and friends have contributed to this fund.
