The Dr. Hara and Biju Misra Student Research Award was created by their son, Bhaba Misra, DO, VCOM Class of 2007, to honor his parents. His father, Dr. Hara Misra, is a professor emeritus at the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine and VCOM, and his mother, Biju, is a long-time supporter of the students, faculty and staff at VCOM. This award is given to students to assist with the travel expenses when presenting winning research posters at the annual Osteopathic Medical Conference and Exposition and other conferences.
