VCOM-Carolinas is proud to announce Meghan Warner, Class of 2028, as the campus’s 2025–2026 Student Doctor of the Year. Selected from a highly competitive pool of nominees, Meghan was recognized for her outstanding leadership, service, scholarship, and dedication to the osteopathic profession.
Throughout her medical education, Meghan has demonstrated a sustained commitment to serving both her peers and her community. She currently serves as Vice President of the Student Osteopathic Medical Association (SOMA), where she advocates for student physicians and promotes professional development at both the campus and national levels. In addition, she is an Internal Medicine Liaison at St. Matthew’s Free Medical Clinic, helping expand access to care for underserved populations, and serves as a VCOM Ambassador, representing the College to prospective students and the broader community.
Meghan’s passion for leadership and service began prior to medical school and has continued to shape her approach to osteopathic medicine. Known for her collaborative spirit, strong work ethic, and genuine care for others, she consistently seeks opportunities to strengthen medical education while upholding the values central to the osteopathic philosophy.
As VCOM-Carolinas’ Student Doctor of the Year, Meghan will represent the campus in competition for the National Student DO of the Year honor through the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (AACOM).
We congratulate Meghan Warner on this well-earned recognition and look forward to seeing her continued impact on VCOM, her future patients, and the profession of osteopathic medicine.
