The United Company Foundation Endowed Scholarship was established in 2019 to benefit medical students who agree to practice medicine in Southwest Virginia. The $40,000 Scholarships, available annually to two third or fourth year VCOM students, are part of a $1 Million Challenge Grant seeking to inspire others who work, live, and do business in the region to support this important program and enable students to return to practice medicine in medically underserved areas within a fifteen-county, three-city region.
