At VCOM, the discipline of cellular biology and physiology provides students with the foundation for the health and function of the human body in preparation for advanced study of pathophysiology and medicine. The goal of faculty in this discipline is to provide students with an understanding of the general physiologic principles responsible for health and disease in the human body.
