VCOM Focus

VCOM Focus

VCOM’s new initiative, VCOM Focus, strives to recognize the visual impact of the world that we as a community interact with daily and how this empowers our lives. This project embraces the values of VCOM’s faculty, staff, and students.

VCOM Focus is looking for original photography that creatively connects with the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM). Focus can be close up to distant and the color scheme can be black and white or color. This photographic initiative will draw on the unique talents of our students, faculty, and staff to create a uniquely VCOM gallery that will be displayed on campus and in print.

Via Wellness Program Points

VCOM Students participating in VCOM Focus will receive the following Via Wellness Points:

2 pts for each segment submission (1 spiritual, 1 intellectual)
4 pts for each segment winner (2 spiritual, 2 intellectual)

  • When submitting a photo, please include the name of your photograph (if applicable) and a brief statement (1 or 2 sentences) describing how the photo relates to the college and the segment theme.
  • To encourage creativity, the judging panel may choose to consider a photo that is not directly related to the College, but is still related to the segment theme.
  • If a photo submission was not previously chosen as a winning photo, and is deemed appropriate for a future theme, at the discretion of the committee co-chairs, the photo may be entered for consideration in future VCOM Focus segments.
