Dr. Lauer was born and raised in Bloomington, Indiana. He grew up playing and enjoying multiple sports, but his passion was baseball and was fortunate to win an Indiana HS state title at Cathedral High School. He later completed his undergraduate training at Wake Forest University where he served as president and manager of the Wake Forest Club Baseball Team. He completed his medical school training at Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine and residency in Family Medicine at Community Hospital East, both in Indianapolis, Indiana. He is married to his wife and better half Katie, and we both enjoy spending time with our dog Baxter. He is excited to have the opportunity to continue his education at VCOM/Virginia Tech Sports Medicine Fellowship and looks forward to continuing his skills in osteopathic medicine.
