VCOM recognized nationally with six Collegiate Advertising Awards

The Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM) and the Division of Communications, Marketing, Website and Publications were recently recognized among the top colleges in the nation by the Collegiate Advertising Awards program for the fifth year in a row, receiving three gold and three silver awards for the 2016 calendar year. Since 2013, VCOM has won twelve additional CAA awards for print and digital publications.

The Collegiate Advertising Awards (CAA) is an elite program recognizing higher education organizations for excellence in communications, marketing, advertising and promotion of their schools. VCOM was recognized with three CAA gold awards this year: one for the 2016 Annual Report and Yearbook: On the Trail of Our Appalachian Mission, a second for the publication of VCOM + Virginia Tech - A Public/Private Success Story, and a third for the photograph, Our Future Physicians. The College was also honored with three silver awards: one for the redesigned VCOM.edu website, a second for the Training Tomorrow's Physicians magazine advertising series, and a third for the VCOM Medical Outreach logo.

“Our Division is pleased to have been recognized amongst the best in our field,” said Cindy Shepard Rawlins, Vice President for Communications, Marketing, Website and Publications at VCOM. “The awards VCOM received this year range from print publications and graphic design to website design and photography, and the winning pieces feature the efforts of our staff on all three VCOM campuses. This achievement demonstrates the commitment of our creative team to communicating the College mission, as well as their hard work and dedication to excellence, year after year.”
