prior to credits being accepted. After evaluation, the committee will make recommendations and the Campus Dean will make the final decision.

Transfer of Credit Credits will only be transferred from COMs accredited by the American Osteopathic Association’s Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation (COCA) or schools of medicine accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME). Credits eligible for transfer will be determined by the Ad-hoc Committee on Student Transfers. Furthermore, VCOM makes no claim or guarantee that credit earned while enrolled at VCOM will transfer to another institution. Curriculum Requirements for Additional Coursework Courses not taken at the previous academic institution must be successfully completed at VCOM prior to third year rotations. Additional courses required and requirements for completion of these courses will be determined by the Campus Dean. OMM Curriculum Requirements for Transfers from LCME Accredited Schools of Medicine Students transferring from an LCME institution must complete VCOM’s osteopathic manipulative medicine coursework and clinical training requirements to assure appropriate training in osteopathic principles and practice. These requirements must be successfully completed at VCOM prior to third year rotations. Notice to applicants on further requirements: Applicants must be aware of certain student requirements and services prior to enrollment. All applicants must also read the following sections titled, “Student Health, Insurance, and Legal Requirements” and “Tuition, Fees, and Financial Aid”.
