VCOM Seed Funding Programs

Now Accepting Applications for July 1, 2018 start date

Both the REAP and One Health Seed Grant Program mechanisms are now accepting applications for FY19 cycle (start date July 1, 2018). These programs are aimed at research that leads to sustainable, externally funded projects and meaningful peer-reviewed publications. Both are one-year programs and funds must be expended by June 30, 2019.

One Health Seed Grant Program

Research Eureka Accelerator Program (REAP)

The One Health Seed Grant Program requires a Co-PI from either the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine or the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. The One Health research concept focuses on public health threats from diseases that affect both humans and animals, from basic science to translational applications to clinical treatment both in the medical and veterinary clinics.

One of the primary goals of this partnership is to bring together researchers at VCOM, Virginia Tech and Auburn University to foster collaboration and stimulate research, scholarly activity and extramural funding, for the benefit of all institutions.

The due date for the One Health Seed Grant Program (VMCVM and AUCVM) is Friday, April 20 by 5 p.m. EST.
