The more I learn, the more I want to know, and the more I know, the better I can serve others as a physician.

When I am not studying I enjoy

Sleeping!!! However, if I am awake and not studying, I enjoy spending time with friends and family. I love exploring new restaurants, having movie nights, and going on hikes in the mountains.

The accomplishment I am most proud of

My proudest accomplishment was getting accepted into not only a medical school but a career that will ultimately challenge me day in and day out. I have been afforded the opportunity to change the lives of others in ways that I cannot fully comprehend right now.

I chose to go into medicine because

I’ve always had a passion for learning about the human body and the medical field is the perfect environment that allows me to channel that passion towards a life of continuous education. The more I learn, the more I want to know, and the more I know, the better I can serve others as a physician.

For me, the most unforgettable moment in medical school was

Walking across the stage at the white coat ceremony was the moment that I realized I am a part of something bigger than myself. Becoming a physician is more than the time it takes to get your white coat and bigger than the salary at the end of the journey. It’s about culminating the knowledge of the human body and applying it not to a patient, but to a person just like yourself. I know doctors cannot save everyone or improve the quality of life for every patient; however, I do know that I want to get up every day and try.
