COVID-19 Response and Resources

The Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine is placing the health and welfare of our VCOM community and the communities in which we reside as our main concern.  More information.

Parallel Degree

VCOM partners with Virginia Tech to allow students who qualify to earn a parallel or dual degree. A Master’s in Public Health  may be completed between the third and fourth years of the doctor of osteopathic medicine degree program. The dual degree program requires an additional year to complete. Additional costs occur and are paid to the accrediting institution (Virginia Tech) for tuition. In order to apply for the  dual degree program, candidates must first be accepted to the DO program and apply to the secondary institution during their second year at VCOM.

For more information please contact Dr. James Mahaney, Ph.D. at 540-231-1948.
