The accomplishment I am most proud of
I am most proud of getting through the Graduate Certificate Premedical Program and matriculating into medical school at VCOM! The journey to be a future physician may seem never-ending with the application process but having patience and believing in yourself as well as your accomplishments is key during that time! When you receive that acceptance letter or phone call, reality comes forth- one weight is lifted from your shoulders and your hard work has paid off!
I chose to go into medicine because
I chose to go into medicine because it’s such a rewarding career in the aspect that you can have an impact on a patient’s life in large or small ways. I consider myself to be an empathic and compassionate individual that cares about the well-being of others. Ultimately, I want to develop a trusting partnership with future patients and help them in any way I can- to me that would be gratifying!
For me, the most unforgettable moment in medical school was
For me, the most unforgettable moment in medical school was white coat ceremony! I believe most other students would agree with me-it’s one day you could never forget. You sense a plethora of emotions in one day and it’s an unforgettable feeling. Reality sets in when you become cloaked and welcomed to the profession, your hard work is paying off and less than four years you will be called DOCTOR!

My friends would tell you that I am a down to Earth girl that would give the shirt off her back to anyone that would need it. My friends describe me as dependable, trust-worthy, and caring. They know I am extremely goal-driven and will work extremely hard to achieve my goals in life. Some think I have a good sense of humor too!
