I want to help people because
I want to help people because I cannot imagine a more fulfilling life than spending your career serving others. When we get to the end of our lives, we can take nothing with us, the only thing that lasts is what we have done for others.
The reason I chose VCOM is
I chose VCOM because I felt that my career interests and personality fit the mission statement extremely well. I have a passion for serving the underserved and came away extremely impressed with the three international sites that VCOM gives its students the opportunity to serve at. VCOM also has cultivated a family atmosphere where the entire class works together to get through the rigorous demands of a medical curriculum. Lastly, the brand new medical building is state of the art and gives our students the best possible facilities to become competent physicians in the future.
I chose to go into medicine because
I chose to go into medicine because I truly felt called to enter the profession. I have always wanted to make a difference in my life and have felt the happiest when I am helping others. A career in medicine will stimulate my intellectual curiosity and provide me the opportunity to tangibly make a difference in my patients’ lives. The privilege of using the skills you acquire to help others will be what motivates me to continually improve at everything I do every single day for the rest of my life.
I enjoy living in Auburn because
I enjoy living in Auburn because it is a thriving SEC college town with great southern hospitality. The people are incredibly nice, there are numerous activities to get involved in, and the city loves their Auburn Tigers’ football. There is a diverse culinary scene, beautiful Chewacla State Park to explore, and some amazing Churches to get involved in. It has everything my wife and I would look for in a place to live.
