In June, future physicians connected with future opportunities at VCOM's annual residency fair.

Held for the first time in the Milliken Room at Fifth Third Park in Spartanburg, the event brought together residency program directors, faculty, and representatives from programs across South Carolina to meet with VCOM students as they prepare for the next phase of their medical training. The fair provided valuable opportunities for students to explore a variety of specialties, learn more about residency programs and application expectations, ask questions about training pathways, and build professional relationships with physicians and program leaders.

Events such as the residency fair play an important role in helping students make informed decisions about their future careers while gaining insight into the residency match process. The strong turnout from both students and residency programs reflects a shared commitment to supporting the development of the next generation of physicians.

We are grateful to all of the residency programs and representatives who participated and helped make this year's event a success. Their willingness to share their experiences, answer questions, and connect with students contributed to an engaging and informative afternoon that will benefit our future physicians as they continue their medical education journey.
