Description: The Teton Mountains have stood together for over 9 million years in Wyoming. They represent the strength, unity, and heights that we can reach when we stand together as osteopathic physicians through our medical training and beyond.

Description: During the past Mission trip in Veron, Dominican Republic, I was struck by how overwhelming the task could be.  One Doctor could not do all that was needed.  But, add willing students, interpreters, a tremendous ground staff and good organization from VCOM and its partners, and much was done!  The teamwork allowed many in need to be lifted up, and symbolically, when we all move together, we stand taller for each other and for those we would serve.

As osteopathic physicians, the vision of serving a diverse and vibrant patient population gives purpose to our work, even in the most extreme treatment settings.

Description: The Camino de Santiago is a route that pilgrims have walked for over 1200 years, spanning hundreds of miles. These stones in Galicia, Spain have guided pilgrims for centuries along the way. Like these stones, the Osteopathic tenets laid down by A.T. Still have guided the path of our profession for centuries and will continue for centuries to come.

The Park Favorite Sisterhood Bond A Pet’s Love

First Place

Description: Growing up, I walked to see the statue of the heroic dog, Balto, hundreds of times in Central Park in New York. He was a sled dog who saved countless lives by delivering medicine in severe weather during a diphtheria outbreak in 1920s Alaska. The inscription on the statue is "Endurance · Fidelity · Intelligence" which for me, defines the meaning of “Hearts That Never Harden.”
