The banquet is a celebration dinner with limited seating for graduates and members of their immediate family (or significant others). Academic, College Service, Military Service, and Ambassador awards are also presented at the banquet

All students are asked to complete the order form below to receive graduation announcements and your personalized graduation gift. If you are ordering extra announcements, payment by credit card can be made online.

We will provide, free of charge, to all graduating students:

  • Graduation Announcements: Fifteen (15) announcements and fifteen (15) envelopes
  • Name Cards: Fifteen (15) personalized name cards to include in announcements
  • Notecards: Twenty-five (25) blank note cards and twenty-five (25) envelopes (can be used to write personal notes to go along with your announcements or keep them for thank you notes)
  • Military Promotion Ceremony Announcements: Fifteen (15) announcements and fifteen (15) envelopes for each HPSP recipient

On a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last, you may purchase:

  • Extra announcements, $1 each
  • Extra notecards, $1 for five (5) notecards
  • Extra military announcements, free while supplies last

Pickup Options

You, a friend or family member may pick up your announcements once they are available from the following pickup locations:

  • Match Day Celebrations (Osteopathic and Military Match Celebration on Monday, February 6 at 4:30 p.m. Allopathic Match Celebration on Friday, March 17)
  • 364 Magnolia Street, Communications and Marketing Office, by appointment. Please email Natalie Brown at nbrown [at] to let us know when you can drop by.

Class of 2017 Graduation Regalia Ordering Information

  • You must order student regalia and family hooder regalia separately by following the instructions below. For example, please place your order for regalia. Then, go back and place the order for your family hooder regalia.

Regalia for Students

When ordering student regalia, the information you provide will help ensure that you receive appropriately sized garments. The cost of your regalia is covered by the graduation fee you have already paid and you will be able to keep it as a memento of your graduation from medical school. The deadline for placing your order is Friday, March 31, 2017.

Regalia for Family Hooders

VCOM allows select family members to support you on stage as you are hooded during the graduation ceremony. While Provost Rawlins will present your hood and place it on you, certain family members are invited to be with you. This opportunity is only available to your spouse, parents, step-parents, grandparents, siblings, aunts, and uncles, and only if they have a DO or MD degree. Cousins, family friends, mentors and family-like individuals are not included, and no other degrees are permitted. The cost for purchasing family hooder regalia is $65.50. The deadline for placing your order is Friday, March 31, 2017.

Regalia for Faculty

When ordering faculty regalia, select your main campus and only submit 1 order, even if you are participating in multiple graduations. Please answer all questions and include the college from which you received your highest degree. Then, submit once you have completed the form.
