The core teaching faculty has extensive experience in neuromusculoskeletal medicine and osteopathic manipulative medicine in all aspects of medicine – clinical practice, curriculum development, medical school teaching, resident and fellow teaching, and local, regional and national presentations and multi-day courses. Additionally there are a large number of other faculty in our sports medicine, family practice and PM&R departments who have vast experience utilizing, integrating, and teaching Osteopathic Principles and Osteopathic Manipulative Therapy.
Albert J. Kozar DO, FAOASM, R-MSK
Dr. Kozar is board certified in NMMOMM, CAQ in Sports Medicine, and Family Practice & Osteopathic Manipulative Therapy. He brings 13 years of private specialty practice sports medicine & OMM clinical experience before joining VCOM in September of 2015. Dr. Kozar was awarded the status of Fellow by the American Academy of Osteopathic Sports Medicine in 2011. Additionally Dr. Kozar is a registered musculoskeletal sonographer and a certified Functional Movement Systems rehabilitation clinician.
Dr. Kozar’s clinical interests include OMM, motor control & functional rehabilitation, diagnostic & guided sports ultrasound, and regenerative medicine. He is a sought after national lecturer and course presenter in many topics in these areas.
David Harden, DO, FAAFP
Discipline Chair of OMM
Dr. Harden is the Discipline Chair of OMM at VCOM. Additionally, he serves as the Co-Director of the PPCOMM course for student years 1-4. Dr. Harden is board certified in NMMOMM, and is a fellow of the American Academy of Family Practice and the American Academy of Anti-Aging and Functional Medicine.
